Cheongpyeong Gem Museum Village

The museum is strategically positioned along the north road of the site to create a cozy plaza within the complex and separate vehicle speed and noise. Its design aims to artistically convey the allure and enchantment of jewels, featuring a geometrically simple box with distinct and functionally separated programs within. The exterior showcases a vertically textured curtain wall that exudes urban vibrancy, emphasizing glamorous and gleaming features between its simple forms. The outer shell combines opaque metal and transparent curtain walls of bold, overlapping colors, expressing the building's unique identity. During the day, the play of light, colors, and shadows create a captivating atmosphere around the museum, while colorful lights attract visitors at night.

Cheongpyeong Gem Museum Village Master Plan

An amphitheater is centrally located, becoming the focal point of the complex, serving as a space for performances, events, and relaxation. It also provides convenient access to the underground studio and parking lot without entering the museum. The sunken garden at the basement level offers a welcoming entrance with green landscaping. The amphitheater's ceiling utilizes natural acoustic technology. In the central plaza, partially linear skylights are installed in a 'Patte d'Oie' pattern, bringing natural light to the artist studios located on both Level -1 mezzanine and Level -1, creating an inviting and pleasant ground space effect.
